Overview
Nightmare is a story-driven editing project created from pre-existing footage. The objective was to transform raw clips into a cohesive narrative experience by carefully controlling pacing, emotional tone, and audience engagement.
Rather than relying on effects or complex motion graphics, the project focused on editorial decisions and how music and timing influence the viewer’s interpretation of a story.

Design Process
Story Analysis
The project began by reviewing all available footage and identifying the strongest moments within the story. I focused on understanding the emotional progression and how each scene contributed to the overall narrative.
Rough Cut Development
I created an initial draft sequence to establish the story structure and overall pacing. This allowed me to evaluate timing, transitions, and emotional flow before moving into final edits.

Feedback & Refinement
After developing the first version, I reviewed feedback and made adjustments to strengthen the storytelling. This included refining clip selection, improving pacing, and enhancing transitions between scenes.
Music & Atmosphere
Music played an important role in shaping the emotional tone of the project. I selected audio from SoundCloud and matched it carefully to the mood of the narrative. The timing of visual cuts and musical cues was refined to build tension and strengthen audience engagement.
Final Edit
The final sequence was assembled in Adobe Premiere Pro, focusing on visual flow, emotional rhythm, and narrative clarity.
Outcome
The completed project demonstrates storytelling through editing, showing how pacing, music, and scene selection can influence audience emotion and create a stronger narrative experience.
